Sorry if this has been done before.

I started thinking, as of today, what songs would go great with megaman?

I haven't seen much love for the blue guy, so, I think this is justified. For fans of the series, Megaman has been known to put out some of the catchiest songs. Be it some industrial/techno beat or full out metal-thrashing goodness. I've always enjoyed the music. So, now begins the questions;

1: What songs do you listen to, now, that you think would go great with the series?

....for a badass showdown with Sigma. :p

2: If you don't have one, then, what's your favorite theme from the entire franchise?

...is the Dr. Light theme.

3: Which game was your favorite?

X, X4, and X5. Can't pick just one.

4: And finally, who was your favorite character?

...Zero.

..........so, whenever you feel ready, discuss.

...I just like the megaman X music. I don't have a favorite theme and my favorite character would be iX but he doesn't really count so I guess X. I don't really have a favorite game, they each have their flaws and strengths (except 7 which was all flaw and introduced the retard axel. But X4 was pretty fun.

Hehe Zero has boob lights...
I love the theme for Megaman X

Know what games I remember in a hilarious light? The Megaman Xtreem! games for the gameboy colour which were shitty remakes of the first two games with mixes of other bosses tossed in and a few original characters/bosses. They had pretty terrible translations, including calling vile by his japanese name.
They made remakes for the gameboy? I never knew that I thought they did one for the PS1.

They were sorta remakes. The plot had nothing to do with anything but they reused bosses and stages.
It uses mavericks from the first two X games. It has different bosses depending on the difficulty you play on too.
The second game was even less of a remake, the bosses and stages were a mash of the first three or something like that, the entire final boss was new and you could switch between X and Zero through some stupid mechanic I never figured out the entire time I played which made the boss a pain in the ass because you need to switch to beat him or wait so he changes phase so you can damage him with X again.
EDIT: Correction the plot of the second Extreme game does have something to do with one thing. An off mention in one line in X6 where they're all like "It's just like the erasure incident!" If you didn't know what the fuck that was when you played X6, the erasure incident was what happened in Extreme 2, they stole reploid souls. THEY STOLE ROBOT SOULS, WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?

They made a remake of X3 for the ps1 that only japan and europe got (I think this might have been the version used in the megaman X collection too, I don't remember) and there was a remake of the first X game for the psp called Maverick Hunter X or something which had a mode where you could play as vile. X2 gets no love.
Wow well good thing I didnt suffer through those crappy games.

Ah good ol SNES.

I thought X2 was pretty good. But, I played that weird remake for it on the game boy. As you said, that switch out mechanic was frustrating. I was 10 when I played it, so, I was prone to rage-induced tears. It's the one series that still makes me bite my controller to this day.

You should download them just for the laughability. The translations are so bad that at one point a level called "Laboratory" is translated as "Lavatory"

I had heard those were tough. I'm still a little hesitant to try them. For fear of ripping out my own hair.

Song that would go great with the series? AH I can't think of anything but as for favorite MM song:

This remix is made of pure epic

Favorite game:
original- Mega Man 3, fuck MM2. 3 was superior in every damn way, way harder, and the best of the classics.

X series- X1

Battle Network- BN2

Zero series- Z2

And of course, Mega Man Legends, the under appreciated gem of the series. Screw you haters, the game kicked ass and showed that Maga Man could be more than a side scroller.

Favorite Character?

Zero because he is badass. Funfact, Zero was the original design for X but the creators decided not to go through with it seeing as it was too much of a departure from what we knew as mega man so they opted to use that design as the side character we have come to know and love Zero.

I wouldn't mind Zero if it wasn't for the boob-lights...

Protoman was the definition of cool before Zero was even created.

Yeah, but I like that Zero had that androgynous look to him. I did anyways. The only thing I liked about Protoman was his scarf.

Meh, it's decent, but it doesn't have the same punch and resonence as the U-Gen one. His (and a few other similar composers) just flows and sounds so much better to me. Fuck just listen to some of these remixes and tell me you wouldn't want a Mega Man X remake with this in it.

If there is anything better than Mega Man music, it's the ass kicking remixes people make.

Well there's the scarf, the kickass sunglasses, that awesome shield, the catchy theme song every time he walked into a room, and if you walked into said room as well he'd fucking KICK YOUR ASS. Seriously, when I was a kid, this guy was so friggin hard to beat.

Well, I have to give credit to the badassery here. He's not my favorite, but, still pretty cool.
