Memories of Einhander

I currently just remembered one of my favorite games of all time. I played it when I just picked games out of the fly without reviewing or researching about them. Sure its a side-scrolling shooter game, but Einhander was fun. Fun gameplay, ingenious boss designs and amazing soundtrack. This was a turning point for me to find out under-appreciated games like these.

Too bad Square will never make a sequel out of it.

It was a lot of fun and would stand as one of the best shooters I've ever played if not for one glaringly bad design flaw: the checkpoint system. That ridiculously atrocious feature aside, it was pretty slick.

Out of all the shooters, I loved the fun gameplay of this one. You steal opponent's main weaponry to become your powerful sub-weapon. If this was implemented more, it would've been the greatest.
