Men of a Certain Age debuted about 3 weeks ago on TNT. I've been catching every ep and I don't think I'm the only one and there is no thread, so here goes! Episodes are on TNT's website [http://youcastcorp.com/r/tntmoaca] so check em there.
The premise is the story of 3 friends who are entering into middle age, one wants to be a pro-golfer(Romano) another is a struggling actor(Bakula) and another a Diabetic car salesman(Baugher).
It was a pretty good set up pilot introducing the characters pretty well. For me though, while I liked Ray Romano's and Scott Bakula's characters, Andre Baugher's stood out the most for me, especially in certain scenes where his character was fleshed out the most, like in eps 1 and last nights show.
I had been seeing stuff about the show all over the place (prefacing movies, at bus stops in the city, trailers on TNT's site) so I was a bit intrigued about it. I even saw some of the promo material at work since I work for a marketing company that is doing the campaign for TNT, but for the most part that was just trailer info and character synopses.
All in all I think the show has promise, I think that each character can be very interesting with enough development, and already it has some funny parts. The supporting cast, like Baugher's wife look to have an increasing role as well, from what I saw on the previews.
