Here in Aus land it just rolled around to Christmas Day about 41 minutes ago and I figured hey, as long as I am staying up this late listening to movie themes I had might as well wish the Escapist a Merry Christmas and perhaps a happy new year, but we'll see about that. I've noticed that the background is now one of festive cheer which is great in my opinion because I was getting tired of all the blue and white. If you squint hard enough at the title though it looks like it is coated in blood, which is a little bit morbid for Christmas, but seeing as how I'll be killing virtual things later today I don't see why it's important.

Even though I know it's still Christmas Eve in most parts of the globe I figured, 'ehh, a little bit of extra Christmas Cheer couldn't hurt anyone and if anyone gets annoyed they can enjoy their stocking of coal the uptight Grinch'. So enjoy you're holiday Escapists, pick up a chair, sit around with the family, watch Die Hard (the best Christmas movie of all time) and have an all around merry time this Christmas.

Mod note: This is now a thread for all the Christmas Cheer we spread over these forums in the coming days. Other threads will be locked. Why, thank you and a Merry Humbug Christmas to you.
And this was my reaction to the new logo.

Don't you just LOVE sitcoms?
Well, only Scrubs at the moment.

Don't you mean "Merry ChirsmaHanaKwanzika"?

Political correctability and all...
Ah, that would be 'Merry Day of Gift Giving' you're thinking of. Although that will probably be replaced with 'Day' for the people who are offended at particular days being signaled out as more important than others, a just complaint in my opinion.

I just naturally squint at things from time to time, but yes I am somewhat bored. Is waiting for Merry Day of Gift Giving to start in earnest ever not boring?

I still love Christmas. It's the days of preperation and cleaning up that annoy me.

But yeah, Merry Christmas guys!

Merry Christmas everyone. Tomarrow (which is Christmas in America), I'll wish everyone it again, then go play video games for the next few weeks.
