So it's been flying up quite a bit throughout the Blogosphere that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, is getting a Patch [http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/11/report-metal-gear-solid-4-finally-getting-trophies/] that will "Finally" give players the ability to play MGS while hearing the Trophy sound as opposed to having a game completely free of all that nonsense.
My question to you all is... Does anybody particularly care? Now, I'm not going to lie, I am a Trophy Whore. I'm currently playing through games I haven't played much or really even liked to get trophies (It's an addiction, I can't stop), and while I'm somewhat pleasantly surprised in small parts (Unlocking all the trophies in Comix Zone made me find a new favorite game in the process), I can't say I wanted, nor did I care about Trophies for this.
Oddly enough, I did buy the MGS: HD Coll. for PS3 to replay the games I already own, but also to unlock trophies, but I put the titular series Fourth game on a higher pedestal then the others because that truly was a game you experienced instead of earned (Fans need not talk about the spoilerific parts of the game to understand why), and now to put a checklist on it... it's kind of rubbing me the wrong way.
So I'll ask fans (and even nonfans), what do you think about this; do you care, will it make you want to pick the game up again/for the first time, and because I don't want to make this for only fans, are there any games you'd want to have trophy support/achievements for?
