Why does it seem like some companies try to do things to piss up off or destroy a franchise? Does anyone else get this feeling about metal gear solid online?
To perfectly honest I felt msg would make a poor online game to start with. The controls for all msg games have been great but not good at sustained combat and was made to be that way there is no way you can run and gun through a msg game and that was the selling point to start with. a shooting game that was not about the body count but using your mind to overcome challenges without resorting to shoot first think later. After playing the msg online beta it just proves I am right the controls are not tight enough for sustained combat the winner in any fight is the one who becomes aware of your opponent first or who has the right weapon equipped for the current situation. And changing to the right weapon in real time is a real drag that?s why on msg games when you open the change window the game pauses this fact alone is enough to bring down the fun in the online play. Add in the shitty auto aim and it kind of ruins the whole thing. And while I am on the topic of mgs does anyone get the feeling this latest msg is going to be more like the msg 2 than the good games in the series (msg 1 and msg 3) as I see more footage of the games story this sounds more like a major confusing clusterfuck. War incorporated? That sounds incredibly stupid as a plot choice its one of the moments where I just have to hang my head in shame that this game will be in same franchise that brought us the gems that msg 1 and 3 were.
