It won't be of the same standard as MGS 4, but I could see this working as an interesting spin-off. It's pretty obvious that Kojima would change the gameplay due to the different demographic of Xbox owners, hope he doesn't dumb it down too much.
Why don't you just politely go away and post in the forums about ODST and Reach (which will certainly "Live DOWN to" the standard of Halo 3, see what I did there?), simple to say that your help is not needed here.

Another Metal Gear Solid? Why?! WHY?!
Why is there over twenty Final Fantasy games including all the bullshit spin-offs?
Why is there a little over a half dozen Resident Evil games about a shitty story and shittier gameplay?
Why is there about six metal gear solids if you count those card battle games despite the story being shit and the gameplay being about as stimulating as watching yourself age in a mirror?
But you won't see a sequel or remake of Planescape: Torment.
You won't see a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil.
You won't see a sequel to Killer 7.
And you certainly won't see much originality at all. Why? Because why would I try to be original when I can make just as much money improving the graphics, adding a few new guns and locales, and adding to the story of my previous game? I mean why would I start over from scratch when I can just spin the same game i've been shoveling.

That was proberly the WORST designed shooter I've played so far. (I sprayed, saves time on aim imo) Though if its Raiden, it'll be interesting to see "Jack the Ripper" again.Leorex said:

As for my thoughts about this, I'm guessing 360 owners such as myself will be getting Raiden's game (Ala Rising) whereas PS3 owners will get a new Metal Gear game featuring what looks like Big Boss in some early promo shots. It kind of makes sense for us to get Raiden, because a) Xbox owners got Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance last gen, and anyone who played that but didn't have a PS2 or 3 may just be curious to continue Raiden's story, and b) Microsft could see this working, because when MGS 4 came out, many players lusted to play as new ninja suit Raiden. It could be a late system seller to the MGS hardcore.
However, it is likely that PS3 will recieve both games. Or maybe even that Big Boss will simply feature in Rising.
As for my gameplay hopes, some OTT action would be welcome, but I'd like some traditional Metal Gear stealth gameplay, and a decent amount of conversations for Kojima to overtell his wonderful story through. Otherwise, it simply ain't Solid.

as you can guess never got into any of the MGS series, not sure why I played alot of ps1 & ps 2 games.
this new game sounds like it going to be a completely different type of game. the only thing thats interesting is that its 360 exclusive, which kind of owns ps3 fans.
