Huge spoilers for people not playing MGS4 yet, such as myself, so I request spoiler warnings if you may be so kind, I will of course put spoiler warnings on my own.

Now I'm just playing MGS3 right now, and i'm fighting the Fear (big creepy poof)
I've been trying to go for the stamina kill several play throughs, and I've just got it, when using the tranq once he gets hungry he fills his stamina back up (the git), I've just dropped some Fly Agaric Mushrooms and he decided to eat them, they are poisioned and it took the wind out of him. Some cool camo as a reward!, the mushrooms you need are to the right of the swamp, one tree has one mushroom and the tree directly to the right has two of them.

also in MGS2, the metal gear ray fight, sometimes it varies the ammount of RAY's you need to fight up to 25 on a bad day
if you notice the health bars they each have a codename, the one you need to prioritise is the RAY with the code "R0SE", Raiden's whinging ball and chain, destroy that one and the rest back off

Actually I'm fairly sure the number of RAYs you have to fight depends on the difficulty you are playing on. I didn't know about the other thing though.

yeah that is true, but the sooner you do what the spoilarse says the sooner its over, its got something to do with it being a simulation of something or other which is why I dont know but it totally works.

^^ If that's true, I'm suddenly not so scared to play the game on European Extreme. Finally.
Isn't that the one hit kill mode?, I met a guy who completed it, without saving, and Hideo Kojima saw it.

Yikes. I tried it once in the Tanker chapter. I got around the sneaking just fine, but Olga killed with one shot and I dropped it.

That's usually my problem with playing any MGS game on higher difficulties than Normal; the sneaking I can handle, but the bosses are bitches. And for a story-driven game, interruptions aren't the best thing.

The problem with MGS games are the bosses. There are some awesome nes lie the end but the others just take you out of the stealth gameplay and can be tedious.

true, Fatman from MGS2?, christ, Olga was shit to fight too.

Just found another trick in MGS3, on the mountain side
with the Hind, if you use CQC to interogate the first guard you come accross, he'll give you a codec number, called the fire support request codec, its the codec for the Hind, and you ask the pilot and copilot to put down covering fire for you, rockets away
