What about Disturbed? Disturbed are good, if you don't want to hear about Disturbed I may just need to cut your ears off.

They're mediocre, overly-catchy modern radio rock. Definitely not a metal band, and while they're not horrifically bad, they're not what I'd call "good" either.

The word youre looking for is "Meh".

Course it doesn't, i've nothing at all wrong with you liking them. Each to his own and all that. I personally can't stand them. Apart from ten thousand fists, that's ok.

Also, has anyone ever heard of Under Threat? Really good melodic death metal band. If you can find it, pick up the album 'Deathmosphere'. Some really nice guitar work.

That thread mainly. Also wandering around wikipedia, looking at bands top friends on myspace. Sputnik music review site is also pretty helpful.
