If I recall correctly from PAX East's Metro Last Light Interview about the story and writing, Glukhovsky said it was a copy of Metro 2035 - not 2033 being shipped?

The book is actually deeply philosophical with a lot less action.

for example, I can't really remember Artyom shooting much of anything. I'm pretty sure he did, but if there was shooting to be done, it was normally done by other characters. There are also MORE characters, and it is definitely interesting.

Also, it is down right CREEPY at some points. The description and solitude, as well as unholy terror which exists, in the tunnel is legitimately frightening.

The most similar part is the ending.
Yeah, the basic progression of the plot is similar, but it's definitely not an action-heavy book.

I kind of wish they'd made an adventure game of it but, of course, it wouldn't have sold nearly as well if that were the case. Ah well, the game we got was great anyway.

If it's an actual thing for every country. Then FUCK YEAH I'm buying this one, I don't even care about the game at that point. The book has never been sold here, and if it was, it would be around 30-40 bucks anyways, so paying 60 for both book and game is just a great deal for me.

Why don't I just poke my eyes out with plutonium rods.

Great marketing guys, who is this aimed at? I highly doubt that many would read this while on a desktop and I am not sure as hell not assuming many of us have got Ebooks readers. If this was a physical copy might be less sceptical about this, why can't we go for the usual OST?
Obvious troll is obvious.

This is a pretty great idea, cant go wrong with a freebie. Little expense to the developers/publishers, and for those that are interested a great read. Even if you're not interested in the book it hurts nobody, this is how you show your fans some appreciation. I have already read the book, ordered it as soon as I finished the first game. The translation isnt as bad as some say, and its very engaging, would recommend ^_^

Can't wait for last light, one of the few games excited about this year, I feared the worst after THQs collapse. I hope Koch media/deep silver don't try to meddle with the game.

My pre-order of the special edition 360 version with EB Games comes with a hard-copy of the book.

Pity I already own it.
