I'm so looking forward to this. I just hope the game isn't guns blazing all the way through. Character animations seem to look a lot better as well.

So very very excited about this. If they fix the gun combat, it could be incredible. Metro 2033 was an under-rated 'flawed gem'.

Also, loving the craftmanship of this trailer and the teaser. The use of Portishead and the cutting is impressive to say the very least.

Be right back while I change my pants.

But in all seriousness, I can't wait for this. I loved Metro 2033. Hopefully we'll find out more about it at E3.

Oh Jesus Christ.

Why must they make their trailers in flickery seizure-o-vision?

What a piece of crap. Bloody Michael Bay could do better than that.

I didn't like the first Metro as much as so many others did. I think it felt rather clunky and the story was poorly told (good story, poorly told). However, I didn't hate it, and will be looking into giving the sequel a chance. I enjoyed that trailer.

P.S. I love the book.

The flashiness of it annoys me. I want to actually see if they obvious improved the gunplay. I very much liked the first game, in fact I'm playing it again right now.

I want my translated metro 2034 book, where is that.... damn them. Looks good though I really liked the game, so much so I bought the book after beating it. Although the book tells the story much better, many things were not the same from the book to the game. I just hope if they make it into a movie they don't butcher it like they did with the Eragon movie.

as a quick note, I don't know how many are aware, but this sequel is not actually based off 2034 or any other book. It is an original story written from inside the development house, because the developers felt that 2034 wouldn't make a 'good' game.

Ones or twos? Wait. Don't answer.

Considering I only learned of the books existing earlier today, I've no problem with this.

Day 1 purchase.

I'm very glad they decided to pursue a sequel. If the best elements from the first are combined with the necessary fixes and tweaks, this will be a great game. I cannot wait.

Will I need to have played Metro: 2033 do understand it better? I heard Last Light is coming out on PS3 but the original never did, so I never played 2033.

Well at this point in time its hard to be sure, but in a game like Metro 2033 you sort of completely get what is going on within the first few minutes, so if Last Light is anything like the first then you probably won't have needed to have played the first to understand the majority of stuf going on.

OT: Looks. Awesome.

Can't wait.

4A should just add more Stealth, more branching paths to deal with any situation and tweak the A.I. If they just do that then Last Light is easily my favorite shooter this gen. Loved the first one despite its hiccups.

Awesome news, but I'll still need a computer upgrade and to finish Metro 2033 before I can play this.
I mean, I could hardly run Metro 2033 on low graphics, this will kill my PC.
