Metro Redux recently came out and if you don't have either of these games, they are pretty damn good and the upgraded pack is great value.

But here is the rub, I already own both games and I bought them both at full price when they came out, Last Light only a year ago. I was hoping that as an owner of both games I could get what is essentially a face facelift and engine update for a discount. Turns out this was only an option on preorder "bonus". Anyway, I have no intention of paying $50 again for games I already own. Thoughts?

Edit: It comes to mind that CDProkekt did a similar overhaul to The Witcher 2 and it was all free to existing users.

I assumed I would get the discount after launch as well, but of course I don't anymore. However, it is worth noting that if you buy th bundle you do get 25% off... but that's not as good as the preorder bonus.

I'd just wait for a steam sale where they go on sale for quite a bit. That's my plan.

Yeah, I second the Steam sale plan. I can tell you that the former is a great upgrade, because I just finished it the other day. Not sure how improved Last Light Redux is, though.

It's what Im going to do as well, it's just a little disappointing. I honestly didn't expect a CDProjekt situation, those guys are the gold standard. But I remember when they bought out the director cut of Human Revolution I could buy it for %75 off. I was hoping for something like that.

@Barbas: Apparently Last Light its far less noticeable.
