I just got world of warcraft and I like it so I am going to review it no mater how old it is. There that?s done lets get on with it.

Blizzard has created an awesome game with absolute enormous strength.
Now as a reviewer I don?t like to say this but this is my opinion (cough) ok then.
IT OUTCALSSES THE LIKE OF S***Y RUNESCAPE AND CREATES A LOT MORE FREE WILL INSTEAD OF MOVE HERE TO DIE OR I AM SORRY YOU HAVE TO BE LVL 500 TO BE HERE, right that?s done lets get on with life.

So far have been playing I have been on free trial but will soon be moving on to payment because I know that this game is brilliant.

GAMEPLAY

1) This game can offer good game play as long as you have a lot of memory.
2) Your skills determine what you can kill best and what can resist your attacks.
3) Moving is really simple
4) Fighting is really simple

GRAPHICS

Now to say something bad about the graphics in this game would be like telling take that to disband again.
The graphics are amazing, no load up problems, no moving then finding a tree there and no bad textures

MULTIPLAYER

Now wow is a full Internet game there is no normal campaign for you to play just vs. other player not NPCS

Now you need a full Internet connection to play this game and a real good Internet or BT provider like SKY or whatever the Americans call Internet for it not to lag like hell.

Here's my WOW review

GAMEPLAY

1) This game can offer good game play as long as you can't read without moving your lips
2) Your skills determine that you have never seen a girl naked before
3) Moving is really meaningless
4) Fighting is really meaningless

I believe it's because english is NOT his/her native tongue...

Thats not really the problem, the grammar and spelling is completely passable and fine, its the fact that they actually lack any sort of content.

Really? [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.50823]"Grammar and spelling. Everyone who moderates the boards is an editor. Bad spelling and improper grammar physically hurts us, precious. Respect yourself and others; take the time to check your spelling and how your post is worded. Also, one exclamation point or question mark is enough at the end of a sentence."[/a] says otherwise.

The best part of the review was that the most contraversial part, according to him/her, was that its better than runescape. Really? You think? Runescape is like the best game of all time. (note heavy sarcasm). Also, like already mentioned, this review has absolutely no content.

I don't care what anyone says. You get an A for effort. Since you really seem to want to do this, and you can only get better, keep it coming my man.

As for tips. Read what people complain about and do your best to not let them complain about it twice. On second thought. Don't just read _what_ they write, read _how_ they write it. Then just copy your favorite style shamelessly. Sooner or later you will get it right.

The first thing one learns when writing at any level is that it takes a lot of courage. Because most people are dicks and will be merciless if they disagree with/dislike/are jealous of you.

Criticism hurts, but criticism is easy. Taking criticism to heart and improving your efforts is hard, and that's where most people break down and lose focus.

So, to MGG or anyone who wants to use our public forum to post honest reviews or articles or any other thing, I'd say go for it. But be aware of our Code of Conduct [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.50823], and if people give you criticism, don't take it too personally, but do take it. Then show them you're the bigger person by not giving up and improving.

Keep up the reviews man, like Mr. CIA said, you're just going to get better by keeping at it.

I actually got hooked on WoW just a couple of days ago, I think it was my friends way of getting me back for bringing Guitar Hero III into his life. The sad thing is that I'm actually good at the game, didn't think there was a "good" thought it was just "high level, with a high DPM (or some other abbreviation)" but apparently I just fly through the levels, which, honestly, seems to take hours to accomplish.

The graphics are put at OK, but then again the game is a couple years old now, just look at Counter Strike 6.0 (or whatever #.# it is)

Gameplay can get kind of boring, *click, click* *press hotkeys for spells and potions* *move a bit* *click, click* repeat. But since the world is so big you develop a desire to be able to kick the crap out of everything on it. So sadly, as repetitive as the gameplay is, the game remains fun, well maybe not so much as fun but addictive. Sort of like Guitar Hero, you're getting somewhere in the game, but in the real world you look like a tool.

Multi-player, well, when you buy the game they give you free trial keys so that you can get all of your friends on there, also an easy way of getting yourself a free month of WoW, no wonder why there are so many people on there. Depending on what server you're on, you can always be the nice guy that helps people in need, or be one of those pricks that stabs you in the back while you're fighting a quest boss.

Overall I consider it a good game, but like with Guitar Hero I wish I was spending my time learning to play a real guitar instead, or maybe the bagpipes.

Aww dont cry...
listen the thing about being reviewers is that no matter what, you are doing it wrong. But its okay, everybody is entitled to what they think. What I meant to say about your criticism is that you just need to work on your brevity skills thats all. But keep posting if you want; we cant stop you(except the editors, but apparently they seem to be on your side...)

There now.Feel better?

I know you don't care but ur a little late on that review and of course it's a good game. They've got so many servers that they could start their own nation and conquer the United States ! Also the game has evolved so much since the beginning and if your review was to make any impact we needed it at the beginning. Reviews only help or hurt a beginning game and reviewing expansions is nearly as useless because the fans will buy it regardless if all you get is a wet dog on the screen.

I like your bravery but come on!!!! It's Blizzard! They come out with a game every 3000 years and it turns into some small countries Pro Tour. (See Starcraft and Korea for that one)

I would disagree with the review, for the following reasons (please note this is just my opinion, and I do nt mean to discourage you from future reviews).

1. While the gameplay is OK, it quickly becomes repetitive. I am currently trying to find a reason to bother levelling my character, and am starting other characters to a) supply the first one, but more importantly b) do things ever so sloghtly different, as the repetition is incredibly boring. No offense, but the free trial does not let you get far enough in the game to discover this, unless you are some kind of freak that plays it 24 hours a day for the whole 10 days, in which case you are probably such a fanboy then you are blind to any kind of flaws and thing WoW is the second son of God.

2. The skill system (and I know I'm going to be disagreed with on this) reeks of Runescape. Yes, I know, it's not as bad, as it at least takes into account the grading system (a master chef cooking steak just isn't as impressive as [insert funky french dish here], for example), but it still has the boring repetitive thing going. For example, raising your First Aid skill goes much like this: a) Get cloth, either from buying or killing relevant creatures. b) use cloth to make bandages until you either run out or get your skill up to the point where they are useless. c) Learn better patterns for harder bandages. Repeat from A. Over and over again.

3. The graphics, while ok, are not spectacular. However, I will admit if they were on the level of Heavenly Sword or Bioshock it would be a major hassle for them to load. Personally, I view graphics (pun unintended) as simply a way to know what's going on, so as long as everything isn't identical blurs, I honestly don't care. That said, they are not excellent, just ok.

Also, it can't seem to decide on a genre. I thought it was an RPG, but your character is far too generic. I mean, this makes sense, given the number of people playing it would be impossible to come up with stories for each of them, but I always thought the core part of an RPG was character development. It's just jarring.

I've had many people tell me "The social aspect is the best bit!" Well, I won't touch the fact that you are sitting in your room in front of a computer, that one has been done to death. I'll go straight for the fact that there are only a few people on WoW: The likely 7 yo. boys with names like DeathKiller787 who run around calling each other n00bs and saying chuck norris is the fo' shizzle, the addicts who are level 70 or whatever the latest cap is within 6 hours of the cap being raised, and do raids because they have completed all the quests available to them. These people are ususally the ones who run their own guild which consists of about 6 other people and costantly are advertising for more people at least level 65, despite the fact everyone at this level is either an addict (in which case they run their own guild) or a dedicated soloist, in which case they just aren't interested. There is a few exceptions, but they are rare.

So, because this is turning into more of a review in it's own right, rather then a list of my opinion (which is what I intended it to be), I'll list my ratings.

Gameplay: 5/10
Graphics: 6/10
"Multiplayer": 4/10 (not really the creators fault, this one)

At least, that's my view.
