I have been interested in buying Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection to try and get into the MGS series but i realized the essential collection has Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance not Sons of Liberty, and it also has MGS3: Subsistence not Snake Eater. Do the difference between Substance and Sons of Liberty or Snake Eater and Subsistence make a big difference.

I've been looking for that pack to!

As far as I know, the only real difference between Substance and Subsistence is some extra content. There shouldn't be any real difference between the original and the others.

There is a big difference between Snake Eater and Subsistance. The camera in Snake Eater is fixed, while the camera in Subsistance can be rotated around the player, like a proper third person game. It makes sneaking around a lot easier.

Well, with Subsistence, you have to say "Yeah, I'm gonna go play Subsistence" rather than "I'm going to go play Snake Eater, *****."

Snake Eater is just so... badass.
