MGS V Speculation time!

If you're too impatient to watch it then basically a "well known" actor has covered his face and is using artificial voices to tell us "they are the one we thought they would be from the start". So could this mean that Hayter is coming back to be Snake after all this commotion? Or could it be someone else. Could it be another Raiden moment? Will Richard Doyle be voicing Big Boss?

Or maybe it'll be the one, the only...

So firstly, the shirt is the only reason we have to think this is official right? But the shirt both has the proper Phantom Pain lettering and the Moby Dick Studios thing, so that's fairly compelling for it being official. Nowhere near impossible to fake, but details a lot of people would normally miss. Although saying that, I thought the Moby Dick joke went away with the announcement?

Secondly, does the name Onigawara imply anything?

Thirdly, David Hayter hasn't done many CGI films has he? But Richard Doyle has done even less and Raiden's VA has only done FFVII as far as films go

Fourthly ' A hint of who I am will follow this sentence. I am the one you thought I would be from the start. Look closer detectives. The hint is right in front of you.' So common wordplay might that the hint is 'Look closer detectives' (this sentence to come). Or the hint is 'one' (in front of you). But neither of those seem to lead anywhere. Incredibly 'look closer detectives' has no hits on google before this video.

Fifthly, I think I'll just wait for it to be announced =D



EDIT: You know whats right in front of me now. A computer. And Snake does suffer severe burns injuries... and I'm pretty sure there have been a lot of computes in computer animated films... if anyone was going to do it, it'd be Kojima

Maybe it's a common theme in MGSV? The Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain trailer had a guy with severe burns and fire powers, which would make sense for that kind of mask. Maybe his victims are going to be recurring characters?

Every time I see Kojima on that duck I have to wonder if he's setting us all up for the biggest troll in gaming history. I don't know how, but its hard to take him 100% serious when every news story concerning him runs that pic.

Did you miss the trailer that let on that Ground Zeroes and the Phantom Pain are the same game? It makes it look like the bandaged guy is Big Boss

This is the right time for it to be Doyle too, Big Boss finally took up his name at the end of MGSW and it looks like this is where Les Enfants Terrible kicks off and the paths really begin to diverge

In the Japanese version it's still the same voice actor though, I think. It's the guy who also does the voice of Batou in Ghost in the Shell.

What I'm wondering is are they going to get the same voice actor for Ocelot. He's old enough in this game that he can have his iconic voice.

Well that certainly isn't Hayter.
Part of me really hopes that it's his dad or something considering the "my son" thing but I guess we'll still have to wait and see.
