Mic Help?

So, I just got my shiny new mic in the mail, but when I try to use it in insurgency, nobody can hear me! Help?

is it usb? do you have it in the right port? is it on? does it have batteries? what OS? does it work anyway? You can't just yell help! and expect a magic fix

Control panel, sound, find your microphone, settings, turn up the receive volume.

See if it's turned up there and try mic boost.

If that's working fine people just don't like you.

I tested it, and I can hear it, and out of the 5 servers, only 1 server responded

No, it's not USB. I have the headphones and mic slot in the right ports, there is no power switch/button, It doesn't need batteries, Windows 7, Headphones part does

might seem nit picky asking those questions but you gotta. I assume you tested the mike with windows sound recorder or skype?

I would try it with a different game as some people suggested or try on servers you know people with mikes are on. Just ask if they can hear you. It's better to figure out what works before you go looking for whats wrong.
