His best role was the one where he played the awkward teenager.
Oh you're so god damn funny

He looks like a really good actor, actually. Not the kind of actor that you'd sign up to act for titanic or something, but not a slapstick comedian either. I don't get why so many people seem to hate him :\

He's like Wonder Bread. So bland and inoffensive that he manages to offend.

I only saw him in Superbad, and I hated Superbad. Maybe if I see Scott Pilgrim, I'll change my mind, but I don't like him much.

Because his characters are exactly the same in every movie. No variation whatsoever.

Seriously theres not a dumpster filled with used syringes at an infectious disease clinic big enough to dump this guy, Jonah hill, Seth Rogan, Steve Carell Justin Long, or any of the rest of this current generation of comedy that Apatow keeps trying to cram down the publics throat.

Seriously... we burned witches in this country for less offensive things, what makes this flock too good for a good ole fashioned public pyre?

He is a terrible actor, only mumbles his lines like some kind of shy little girl. I know, "that's the characters he plays in all of his movies", but, why do you think that is? Is it because that's all he can do? Nooooooo! (yes)

He just keeps playing basically the exact same character all the time. That really gets old fast, and I really have no interest in anything he does because of it.

Good in Juno and Super Bad when no one really knew him. Now its just the same role over again. I wanna see him break into a new role eventually though.

He kinda rocked scott pilgrim vs. the world. I didn't like the comic all too much because in the comic Scott was a goddamn douche, but michael cera actually made him a somewhat likable character.

I don't really like him, in every film I've seen him in, he's an awkward teenager, a role I happen to hate.

You can barely call him an actor. From what you see of him off-screen and on-screen, he's the same fucking person.

Scott Pilgrim may change that, I guess. Haven't seen it yet. Maybe he'll actually act for once. And not just mumble and be awkward around girls, nervous and neurotic about every little thing

I feel as though a Titanic remake with Michael Cera would be...really funny.

OT: Personally, I really like him. I can understand why people dislike him (same roles, etc), but to hate him for it is a little extreme.

Scott Pilgrim was one of the best movies I have seen this summer and honestly I think it is because Michael Cera was good for the role. And despite what people say, he was different in this movie than the others. Movie Bob had it right.

needs a new style. But, after how ever many movies of the same awkward acting, I don't think that's going to change much.

Either zombieland or scott pilgrim, I have disliked him in anything else.
Considering hes not actually in Zombieland...

I don't mind him.
The guy in Zombieland is playing Michael Cera, playing the character.

Most of those I treated with abhorrance and revulsion based soley on the concept of awkward coming-of-age teen flicks.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World didn't suffer from his presence, but an undead wallpaper paste beast would have done just as well and wouldn't have had to have been paid.

That may be true, but don't write off Scott Pilgrim in that vain... if you were refering to that... but that movie was good...

EDIT:

OT: I actually liked a lot of the films he is in, it does annoy me that he only plays George Micheal, but thats a mix of the casting and his fault so I can't really entirely blame him for that.

And he didn't fuck up Scott Pilgrim so that makes me not hate him. So neutral leaning towards liking him.

And who's fault is this? It's the fault of the casting and directing. And when he plays said character in a movie, he does it excellently.
