Microphone or possibly soundcard help

Here I am once again getting hit by technology in the face. This has been happening for a long time though, I am unable to speak through a mic for teamspeak or vent. I have a simple PCI 3D audio soundcard. I updated the driver and everything. I'm absolutely clueless.

Has it been working in the past, and if yes, has anything changed recently in terms of your computer, anything at all. I can see by your picture that your SM bus controller isn't reconised. Checking that you motherboard drivers are up to date could help.
Also, this may sound obvious and slightly insulting but I have to ask, could you ensure the mic is plugged into the sound card mic/speaker jacks, not the motherboard ones?

Last time it worked was when someone on vent helped me change something. I'm pretty computer ignorant, how would I update the motherboard drivers? My mic is plugged into my soundcard. Any other tips? I've searched all over google and found it's common but hard to configure because of different software.

The same way you update everything. Google it's name followed by driver. Just look for the box or check system model in dxdiag.

Basically impossible, not finding any drivers for it that aren't driver diagnostic gimmicks.
