I've had my Xbox360 for two years. never had a single problem with it. I do believe I am in the majority tho.
Don't get you're hopes up just when you think your x-box is safe. out of the blue it dies.
Haha, ya, I wouldn't be surprised. To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised it hasn't already happened.

i got the E-74 error, basically makes your 360 a brick, didnt bother with tech-support, just bought a new one. first one broke 1 year into use, still have my second one since a week after the first one died.
I got E-74. I sent it back with the warranty... got it back in a week as well :p

Yeah, I hate Microsoft. I wouldn't get a 360 even if they dropped the price to a single cent.
Thats a bit of an exaggeration and i dont care what you say i wont believe you :)
Why buy shit when I can make my own?

If Xbox were selling at 1 cent, you could sell parts for more than that for SURE.
If you dont want to make lots of money fast which i dont believe u wouldnt then i dunno...

I've fixed a couple of 3-light RROD'd 360s, and completely agree.

Why do they insist on using those cheap mobo-warping x-clamps? Use screws for crying out loud!

never pay for repairs and never buy insurance/warranty is my advice (well except for cars and stuff)

think about! it is likely one of your electronic products will fail but the money you saved from not insuring things will easily buy you a new one

plus if you paid £30 more you could have got a new one

so yeah its not just Microsoft who are cheap its nearly every company out there

A freind of mine bought the resident evil spiecal xbox360 within a week the thing fried on him, so even with all of the new chips and saying they found the problem it still goes on. Besides they say the average time to get it back is 3 months.

my best friend had this weird 360 problem where his xbox thought it was a DVD player. it would only play DVDs and if you tried to put in a game, it would say "please insert a compatible DVD disc" or something.

needless to say, it was fixed, but i got a kick out of it. he didn't get a red ring though. has anyone else had this problem?

You're talking about the same company that made people provide their own coffin. But it's not just microsoft. 99.9% of all companies do this

3 months? Where did you hear that? Cause I don't know anybody who's had to wait nearly that long to get theirs back. Average time, from what I've heard, is two weeks.

Of course they're cheap nobody becomes rich by giving money away my xbox is great anyway and although it got the red ring a while ago because of the retirement plan I put in place it's happily fufilling it's new role as a paperweight.
