Elop is the wrong guy for the job hands down. And I hope Microsoft keeps diversifying someone needs to stand up to googles monopoly now that they have turned evil. As others have pointed out there is a freeware alternative to every Msoft program out there, even .net framework isn't unique(mono) no one in the silicon valley does one thing, they have to diversify to and innovate to survive, instead of constantly playing catch up.. although when they did try to innovate with the Xbone they suffered major backlash.
