Microsoft Dates Halo: Reach

Sweet, Played the beta, felt like a bastard child between MW2 and H3, which for me is awesome.

imagine if microsoft actually went on a date with halo reach. That'd be crazy. ANyway i might buy halo reach, I don't know. I didn't play the beta, and i've heard mixed reviews, so i might just stick with halo and cod, and pretend i'm playing them both at the same time.

Wait... if it's a prequel, shouldn't they have jetpacks in the other games as well? Why would they get rid of jet-pack technology? And the needler rifle?

But I'm still probably not going to get it. I've never bought a Halo game and I'm not going to start now... The super limited edition looks pretty sweet though.

Jet packs were only used in deep space missions if you read the novel...or summit like that, in Halo Combat evolved, the autumn fled, so not getting any new supplies of equipment.

number 2 the commander took an unexpected jump, so they were not used again, because of equipment, and she supplied marines on the ground, so again couldn't of been used.

and same for 3, they didn't know what they were facing. And most of the battle happened on earth.

But reach will be shit-loaded with them =)

and the needle rifle became the carbine, and plasma repeater to the plasma rifle, focus rifle to beam rifle and so on =)

Sadly the beta convinced me not to buy the game. They honestly have some work to do before they win me over.

Definitely not. That's absurd, and anyone who has followed the game slightly would agree with me.
A) Bungie would never make a game like that.
B) Trailers clearly show a campaign plot, characters have even been introduced.

You will however work with a NPC squad most of the time.

Yeah, the beta was meh to me. I might not pick it up, as much as I love Halo.

I have the same feelings as well. Considering all the hype this game is getting I expected something more besides some new equipment and a battlefield rush-esque gametype. It's the same game to me.

Nah, the Beat completely put me off Reach. I loved Halo 3's multiplayer to bits, but it feels like the powers are a gimmick that wasn't thought out properly and ruin the flow of what was a fantastic multiplayer.

Looks like the "November Release Hell" has finally been broken. Seems everything is pre-empting CoD: Black Ops, probably revenge against Activision screwing up so many 2009 releases with announcing MW2's November release so far in advance.
