I'm still waiting for the day XBL takes debit. Call me when that happens.
I depends on the type of debit card you have. I have a visa debit and it works just fine.

...could have sworn that I was using my debit card. Huh.
...oh.

Well, now I feel awkward. How does one go about paying for things via debit on XBL, anyway?

Or is this another one of those "Not in Canada" services, like Netflix?

When figuring out how much you're wasting on horse armor, you must also remember to factor in the hospital bill for the severe beatings you will recieve when people have learned about it.

Marvellous, here comes the 1-1 exchange rate for all not yanks...
That doesn't happen on PSN so why would it happen on Live?
Because Microsoft is an American company.
You really just put that there? Where the hell did all these B-Tards come from!?
Same place as the rest of the damn Americans.
Britain! (damn Brits)

The only advantage of the point system is being able to purchase the debit card-like Points Cards. I dearly hope they keep this if they undo the point system.

If you have a Mastercard or Visa debit car, you can use it like you would on any other service. If it's not either of those, you might be out of luck.

I don't have any attachment to the points system, but seeing people having a difficult time making the very simple conversions makes me laugh.

Please. Please, PLEASE with sugar on top take away the MS points. I want real dollar amounts. not "approximations" to real cash.

So am I, but I can see through the smoke to understand that there are costs in the exchange of different types of currency. Banks charge a conversion fee.

What cracks me up about the people who say "Don't take away the points, I don't have a debit card!", is that PSN sells preloaded dollar cards for online purchases.

Hell the Wii uses points, but at least 1 point=1 penny

It's about friggin time, I'm amazed at the idiocy of these corporations, don't want things to be too user friendly or easy ya know. Let's make up a pointless point currency and then confuse the shit out of people with it!
