Microsoft Planning "Avatar 2.0" Launch With Kinect

I imagine all of the people who spent hundreds of microsoft points on avatar items will be pleased, unless they are going to remake all of the clothes and items to make them realistic too. I don't care much for the Microsoft Miis, it seems that this generation is all about copying Nintendo. How long until Microsoft announce their new franchise about a pair of Mexican carpenters who have to save a princess from an oversized armadillo due to increasingly random circumstances?

Well if you saw the E3 '09 Microsoft Kinect demonstration, it was horribly glitchy and clippy. But honestly, who gives a toss? They're just moving away from ripping off Nintendo and towards ripping off Sony.

Who is ripping of Nintendo themself I guess?

I don't get the whole "OMG RIP-OFF" concept. If it isn't within the other company's patent and works good then what is it to complain about? Isn't better if you all just enjoy it?

Anyway, shame to see them go. I liked those little basterds, don't know if I will pick up Kinect though.

Well the rip off ideas stems from the fact that Nintendo make the Mii's, and then several months later Microsoft coincidentally release their own versions of Mii's, but slightly better. Then Sony made detailed realistic versions, and now Microsoft is making them like that now. It annoys people because Microsoft relentlessly rips off other company's ideas for their own profit.

I smell a dasboard update like the NXE again... I hate that idea! It means more problems with Final Fantasy XI with the 360. Also what's wrong with the current avatars? I don't want an uncanny valley avatar staring at me on the dashboard and creeping me out. Kinect is becoming more evil by the second.

Seriously though, it said in the articale that they had to change them into more realistic versions because of Kinects hardware.

But if trying to make things look more realitic counts as a rip-off then damn. I mean, it's easier to name the developers who's ripping off every one else. I think someone updated the graphics to Astroides back in like the 80's or something so he'll better start making some legal claims!

That or we can just realise how silly this is.
