It wasn't the grammar... it's the fact that what you're saying doesn't actually make sense.
Let me break it down:

1. A virus is causing RROD in Xbox 360's. (Really? Or is this something you made up?)

2. This virus is for some reason upsetting Nintendo and Sony. (What, why?)

3. The virus that was exclusive to Xbox 360's has mysteriously attacked Sony and Nintendo, while the companies played an Xbox 360 exclusive game. (What the eff are you talking about?)
This was designed to be a joke. Obviously it went horribly wrong. I will leave this news story alone, to prevent further risk of people not getting a joke I thought might be funny to the escapist's users. I was mistaken, and so accept my banishment from this news item.
Good Bye everyone.

Yeah, I get that it was a joke... I would just like you to explain it better. It's confusing.

Mine went brilliantly for two and a half years, then RRoD'ed last week. I was a bit annoyed because it was playing 30 Seconds To Mars at the time, halfway through a song, so the cutoff was irritating. Otherwise, it had a good life and I've got until September to get it repaired, by my reckoning, so isn't much of a problem. I still have my PC and the Xbox will be sent off for repair over Easter (the warranty and everything is back home while I'm at uni). My friend didn't get off so lightly though, he hadn't had his for long then got the RRoD just after last Christmas...

Complete lies. It'll never end until they give all previous purchasers and early adopters a new "Jasper" console to prove their theory.

I just have one question for Microsoft. Why 'Jasper'???

The guts of the "jasper" run cooler than the previous Falcon guts, or so they say.

Doesn't really explain the name though, does it?

I'm currently on my third 360 at the moment. It's doing well, but I could have counted the number of days the second one lasted on hand. After having two of my fingers cut off.

But yes, did they really have to use the name "Jasper"? Ok, so it may have been a dearly departed relative or family pet, but still, even as a codename of sorts for a fixed console...

Perhaps though, it could be an indication of Microsofts new console naming policy. Brace yourself for the most powerful console to hit the market...the Microsoft Sean!

Wait, we're really getting bent out of shape on the codenames for hardware architecture?

Time to have some fun in that case.

Mac OS 8.1: Codenamed "Bride of Buster"
Intel's new i7 chipset: Codenamed "Bloomfield"
Intel's first Pentium 4 Processor: Codenamed "Willamette"
Adobe Photoshop 6.0: Codenamed "Venus in Furs"

The list goes on (specifically this one @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_computer_technology_code_names ), my point being that a codename doesn't mean jack. Hell Total Annihilation's codename was "That Really Cool Wargame"

Mine RR'd last week. Got sent away for repair today. Had it for over a year before had any problems with it.

Maybe when I get it back it'll be one of these better ones?

I bought my first in November 06 and it lasted a year before RROD. It was a noisy bugger and actually got so hot it hurt to the touch, thought my discs were going to melt!

Got a new 360 in December 08 and it runs much smoother and is much more quiet, no heat issues whatsoever at the moment, so hopefully this machine will last a lot longer.

Coming from them, that's absolute horse-shit. I'll believe it when I see it. They're acting like the RROD is not a big deal. It put off a lot of people such as myself who invested a lot of time in that console, and as a result, that had me switch temporarily to a PS3 (I still have it and love it :3)

I'll believe it when I see it, Microsoft it like an alcoholic that keeps saying: "This really is the last time"

Well, I'm on my 3rd 360 - all still under warranty and I would like to know how to determine if it is a Jasper...

Been a 360 owner since the elite launched, its only red ringed twice, both times it had overheated due to stuff being left on it. the good news has been it can cook an egg after a few rounds on GTA

Well, my 360 just went and died on me. I got it in '07, I think.

Let's see if the replacement 360 is one of these new-fangled anti-RROD ones...
