you know there are companies dedicated to tracking down and getting payment for small claims, that do the legwork for bigger companies right?
Yea they buy the debt from Microsoft for pennies on the dollar and try to make the difference. I am well versed in how this all works.
My point is as someone else pointed out:
Give fake name and contact info.
Get pre-paid debit card.
Buy 360 and kinect for $99
turn and sell for $200
That's $100 profit for what? 15 minutes of work?
Plus my bigger concern is not that actually happening, but there being a flood of banned consoles hitting the used market in 6 months time because people defaulted on it and are now trying to sell them for the quick buck.
I work in a local used game store. We give $70 for a 4gb 360. With a kinect and a few games we can give over $100. So now we have to drop the price on our existing stock, as well as offer at MOST $20 for a 4gb 360. This is only bad for the gaming industry, and the locally owned game stores.
For gamestop I am sure this will be a minor inconvenience and they will probably have a way of getting microsoft to un-ban the consoles.
