I'm actually pretty happy with this personally. Iron Brigade is a great game with a unique style, so I'm happy to see that reach more people, even though I've already bought it (which is my main problem for most of the games with gold thus far.

I remember I bought kingdom for keflings on a whim when it was on special offer for something in the region of a couple of quid. I enjoyed it, it was simple, not big on depth, but strangely therapeutic and calming.

So I'm glad to get the sequal for free.

However, it is true what people are saying; As a competitor to PS+, games with gold doesn't shape up.

I see the PSN+ fee as you actually paying for the games you get and them not really being free at all.
How many people would pay for PSN+ if it didn't have the free games thing?
For the cost of basically a game with my PSN+ subscription, I've gotten to play a lot of games I otherwise wouldn't have, most of them awesome, and all of them recent. With Microsoft on the other hand, you get a bunch of features that should be free to begin with, and a combination of some shitty games, and games so old anyone who cared bought them four years ago.

At least with my PSN+ subscription I can honestly say I've gotten my money's worth out of it. I don't think anyone has ever gotten their money's worth out of a Live subscription.

And I have to ask what is up with this "free is free" nonsense? So just because Microsoft throws any old title up for free customers should be grateful? Why should they be, particularly when the competition are handing out much better and more recent titles?

Well, I bought both titles in sales already, so I'm outta luck... I must admit out of the whole lineup so far the only game I didn't own and I did want to play was assassins creed II

Having both, Xbox live is more about connectivity and party chat in games the free games are just a extra.

PS plus is basically a Netflix of games and that all it really has going for it at the moment and of course it's 10x better at giving free games out over live.

The beauty of PS plus is that when it adds PS4 games people will slowly build a library of PS4 games so in a year when I buy a next gen console I'll probably get a PS4 considering I'll already have 12+ game for it (works with the vita too).
Worth noting that the games cycle in and out. Games that were available before may not be available later. It seems most games are only available for about a month. Some are notable exceptions, but you shouldn't count on the games that are available now to be available a year from now.
I believe that once you mark the game as purchased through PS Plus that you can continue to download it at a later date even if it's no longer listed as a game of the month. Unless they've changed the way the system works.

World of Keflings isn't for haters or fanboys. It's for responsible adults who want their kids to have a game that doesn't involve beating or shooting bad guys...and those kids will LOVE it, because it's a great game where their avatar gets to be the grown-up helping a bunch of little kids (aka Keflings).

Iron Brigade is for dad...cause it's fun. If Double-Fine had figured out hybrid strategy/action like this a few years earlier, Brutal Legend would have been a hit.

This is still true as far as I know. I just didn't want someone thinking he could download any of those games a year from now and being disappointed. Better to address that now than be upset later.
