Yeah, those aren't that "extreme". In fact, they seem fairly "meh".

These deals are indeed extreme! Why, they are only double the prices of the average Steam sale!

More seriously, I hope Microsoft figures out what Valve figured out ages ago, and brings prices down in general.

And then I hope they fix Games for Windows LIVE.

And then I hope to win the lottery and have world peace and learn to fly with the power of friendship.
Well gee, its like you have some sort [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=1403] of [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=2123] bone [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=10015] to [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=11066] pick [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=8059].

I'd have also linked to when you bought Age of Empires for one dollar, but I couldn't find it.

Isn't it much cooler if you write it like "X-treme"? Sorry, but I just don't think this sale is cool enough yet.

I'm so glad that Microsoft is selling us useless junk like Crazy Taxi. Its one of those games that you play once maybe twice and realize just how much money you wasted. Now maybe if my PC was fixed I would be far more interested in a Steam sale. Maybe even a little Fallout: New Vegas DLC?

Extreme you say?

My good sir, I think you will find that this is 'slightly reckless' shopping, at best.
Slightly reckless shopping you say?

OT: I'm sure somewhere down the line, Gabe Newell saw this, laughed to himself, and then proceeded to give us the Witcher, Arkham Asylum, and Alpha Protocol for ten dollars each. He then distributed free copies of Portal, sold copies of Team Fortress 2 for two-fifty, and hopped on his unicorn steed and flew away to a magical land where people could make their own damn servers.

But yeah, pretty cool sale guys.

Indeed, I am not impressed with all these deals/actions I keep reading on Major Nelson's blog. Seriously, MS cannot throw you good bargains/deals if they actually tried.
Wasn't Comic Jumper 200 MS points? And 'Splosion Man was 160 MS points for some time last year. What the fuck're you expecting, the games to be free?

Okay, maybe you can help me get some straight answers:

I do not own Red Dead Redemption. I'd like to play Undead Nightmare. I'm told the disc is a standalone, but several sources say the downloaded version requires the original game. I'm also told that the "collection" pack includes two other DLC packs that can't be used with Undead Nightmare standalone, as it lacks the normal story mode.

So, which the hell should I buy if I just want the zombie western experience without the core game?
The disc is the only one that is stand alone.

I dont see how sales on some pretty nice things could be considered bad in the least bit.

Personally, after reading this, Im pumping my account full of chocolatey goodness and going on a spending spree. I wanted Dead Money, and a load of games/dlc they are offering, but never had the incentive to really justify the purchase. Half off, sounds like a good enough reason to me.

... whats the catch though... April Fools day...

If this is just a joke... FUUUU
