Why hello again Advice Forum. With this many visits maybe we should start going steady
Ahem, anyway:
So, I've been working on speeding up my Mom's two computers and freeing up space and just getting them working better in general. Right now I'm working on her oldest computer, it came out around the time Windows XP came out and still runs Windows XP.
The problem I'm working on right now is that when it was in such bad shape I needed to contact Microsoft Customer Support (this was like a year or so ago) we fixed what was the problem and created two whole new problems.
1) Microsoft Word is gone. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem because we could just download any old word processing software for free. The problem is supposedly my Mom's online software (EasyMedi or EasyFlow or Spectramedi or something like that) for work only uses Microsoft Word. I tried to get her Word through the college student offer but since my offer is specifically only the newest version her computer/OS can't accept it. I tried, didn't work for anyone who thinks you could force it to. Anyone know an easy way I can get a proper XP version of Word going short of getting the program manually from a CD we don't have? lol
2) This:
I have tried looking online into this, but no luck. I guess I'm really bad at Googling. I need to swap the OSes and files between the two, so everything she needs is on the drive with more space. The OS was mistakenly installed on the wrong drive. Since this was done with help remotely from Customer Support I don't blame them, but I would like to switch them back. Understand that while I'm not expecting anything overly easy I would like the simplest solution
Really appreciate it everybody. You have all been great help in the past!
