Thank you for abandoning your core demographic Microsoft. Next time I have a few hundred knocking around ill upgrade my PC and just have fun with that.
When that happens i'll only facepalm and lose faith in the fact that microsoft didn't actually see it coming.demoman_chaos said:Microsoft is going the way of Sega.
Their first console was a match for the big player of the time (Xbox vs PS2 = NES vs Sega Master System). Their 2nd was released not long after and demolished everything of the time (360 = Genesis). Then their big competitor released a console noticably stronger but not overwhelimingly so (PS3 = SNES, the PS3 has more processing power and the SNES had a better sound chip among a few other things). They release add-ons to try to keep their console afloat when their competitor starts defeating them (Sega CD+32x+Sega Activator (I think that is what Sega's full body motion controller was called) = Kinect). They then hurridly release a new console which flops (Saturn). They then make 1 last effort which has a good start but again loses out (Dreamcast).
MS are at the add-on stage. I foresee a new console coming in a few years which will utterly fail.
