I got excited for a sequel, given where the game ends... Oh well.

I hope they fix the broken AI. The first game had such promise but was let down by some small things.

Wouldn't you prefer a sequel? I didn't play the original, but if they just made a sequel and made the first backwards compatible, Id be more inclined to go play the first to prepare for the second.

That's probably what they have in mind, but they want to see if people are still interested first.
