WTS @ that last picture, how is she even standing with two extra heads on her chest! But seriously, that seems overly obnoxious to what I remember her uniform looking like, maybe its the graphics or something but it looks weird as hell.
Ono, one of the main men behind everything Street Fighter since SF4, is a MASSIVE R. Mika fanboy.
Personally, I kinda like the design, even if it's a bit silly (Namely because Wrestling is kinda like that IRL), but that Super move of hers where she and her tag partner crush your head with their butts was the deal breaker, mostly because it looked so dumb or at least could be pulled off a bit better.

Like that Hardy Boys move, Poetry in Motion, it if it was something more like that, I'd be on board.

Talk about poor timing to reveal a middle eastern character.. This character was released yesterday.. on 9/11 of all days..
So, all middle-eastern people are evil and should be shamed constantly during 9/11 or what?

On another note... why the heck.. does he carry a backpack? I don't remember any other characters carrying backpacks in SF.
And i can't be the only one thinking this.. but it does strongly imply it's filled with explosives..

The whole timing of this characters reveal and the backpack makes this whole character into such a hilarious stereotype. And makes me wonder what Capcom was even thinking when they thought this up..
How in the hot ham water does a backpack "strongly imply" he's carrying explosives? I don't see fuses poking out anywhere. Or is it because he's one of those scary Arab looking fellows and that's all the implication needed that his backpack must have a bomb in it. Holy crap.

Haven't been keeping up with SFV coverage too much, but he looks like he's got some interesting stuff going on with little command rolls or something, unless that's a universal mechanic for all characters in V I've somehow missed in watching a bit of it here or there. First one in the trailer reminds me of Abel from SF4, and the second one reminded me of the way rolls worked in KoFXIII.

Pretty good-looking for an original character, all things considered.

Ryu: "Rashid! What does the scouter say about his power level!?"

Rashid: "It's over nine-eleveeeeeen!"

Ryu: "God damn it, Rashid."

But yeah, he looks neat. Like a cross between DBZ and Prince of Persia. I can dig it. Stereotypical crap and all...because it's Street Fighter. A veritable grab-bag of stereotypes all flinging glowy shit at one another and generally being weird about it.

As god intended.

Looks better than Ken or Ryu at reveal, that's for sure.

Now, do his wind powers cancel out a hurricane kick?

Also I guarantee you people will be complaining about stereotyping or some crap. People like that are why we're never getting burkha assassins.
How strange, then, that the people complaining seem to be mostly or exclusively the anti-"PC" crowd here.

Came out of curiosity at a middle eastern street fighter, stayed for the comments on 9/11 and dbz jokes.

I wish I could make a DBZ reference but the obvious ones have already been taken, all I can say is his ultimate looks pretty cool he really does look like a djinn when he is up in his whirlwind.

*checks thread again* How did you arrive at that conclusion?
C'mon I like catty remarks and point scoring as much as anyone but the very first comment here is someone bringing up 9/11 and it subsequently colors the rest of the thread enough that yes, people have commented on it in response... But to lump them all together as mostly or exclusively "anti-PC crowd" merely for responding to it is kinda generalizing and assuming a lot about the posters intentions no? xD Or is responding to a silly statement all it takes to be part of that crew now?
Being extremely generous, THREE posts out of the 50 in this thread falls into what you allude to and I'm really stretching it.

A lot of times, it feels like when I boot up Street Fighter, it feels like "THIS IS HOW JAPANESE PEOPLE SEE YOU, THE GAME!"

This was very interesting when Tekken did it. No matter how good the character is, I just see Shaheen.

So first we get Kars, and now Wham in SFV. Can't wait for them to reveal ACDC and then we'll have all the Pillar men.
You're making Santanna sad...

OT: Call me when they confirm Dan Hibiki.

He looks pretty cool. Probably as one-dimensional as every other Street Fighter character, but at least people will have fun playing him.
