I liked The Prestige. It has Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, not to mention it was directed by Christopher Nolan.

It might not really screw with your head but it's a good thriller that will hopefully surprise you.

Waking Life. It may just be some guy talking to strangers about philosophy for 90 minutes, but damned if it doesn't make you think.

I could offer you a TV show, but it's three series of mediocre cop-drama set in the 80s with the final episode fucking your mind over and answering questions about the three series and a whole 'nother two series show previously.

W/e, it's Ashes to Ashes. As an actual cop show I would reccomend the previous series, Life on Mars (UK version) though.
