Leading on from both Sean Hollyman's thread about little known things in Pokemon [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.375721-Things-you-never-noticed-in-Pokemon] and Did You Know Gaming? [http://didyouknowgaming.com/], I ask what little-known or mind-blowing facts do you know about games?

To start it off, Sirena Beach from Super Mario Sunshine is shaped like a Gamecube controller

Also the is a gene in the human body called Sonic The Hedgehog. So, like it or not, Sonic The Hedgehog is inside you.

The entirety of the Elder Scrolls series is actually the schizophrenic imaginations of a being called the god-head, and things such as loading saves, and pausing time by opening the inventory, are actual things that happen because of a power your character possesses known as CHIM.

Also Talos, Lorkhan, Akatosh, and Sithis are all the same being incarnate under different forms.

Furthermore Martin Septim, The Divine Crusader from Knights of the Nine, Tiber Septim, Ysmir Wulfharth, Zurin Arctus, and every single games main hero is an avatar of Lorkhan also, and thus, by relation, is also an avatar of Talos, Akatosh, and Sithis

I've heard about the whole avatar of Lorkhan thing being a theory but is it confirmed? If so then mind=blown

OT: The Helghast from the Killzone series is an analogy for the Nazi's in Germany. You may have figured this out considering the shape of their helmets but looking at the backstory of the Helghast it is incredibly obvious. Apparently the whole "Helghast should be the good guys" part of the fanbase has picked this up.

Well Martin Septim, Tiber Septim, Ysmir Wulfharth, Zurin Arctus, The Divine Crusader, and The Dragonborn being Shezzarines, avatars of Shezzar, the Imperial name for Lorkhan, have been confirmed.

The other game's heroes have not been specifically confirmed, but they all fit the definition of Shezzarine so much its pretty much accepted as fact that they most likely are.

Lorkhan will make himself incarnate as many times as he needs to in order to ensure Mundus survives.

Master Chief's real name is John-117. He was 'surprise adopted' from his parents and flash cloned so his parents didn't even know the difference.

Theres also a strange mother/girlfriend/intimate lover relationship going on between him and Cortana. Mostly because the mind of the woman who actually raised him, Doctor Hazely(spcheck?), was used to create Cortana so one could say that they are one in the same.

Which technically means Master Chief wants to get it on with his adoptive mother.
Strange.

Did you know that the intended usage of Stop and Swap is recreated and intact for the Xbox online arcade versions?

Well you know how in Banjo Tooie you get the ice key and all those bonus eggs that were in Banjo Kazooie because Stop and Swap was canned? Essentially the bonuses like the ice key have been removed from Banjo tooie which means you need to get it in Banjo Kazooie and tranfer it over to Tooie. Pretty much it means that you can't get some things in Tooie alone, you need to get them in Kazooie instead.

Do you mean were the worlds you ventured to other dimensional planes or were they actual places that you could go to without the portals, they were just really far away? I honestly have no idea, I assume that it would operate on the same rules as Tooie where they were real places in the world but it never says.

I used to think they were planes of existance created by Grunty or somthing...her lair being a REALLY powerful magical force, mainly due to how "closed off" they seemed (however as we know thats due to technical limitations)

I thourght all the charachters had left since her lair had "degraded" so their worlds had also

BUT it makes more sense now that they were actual places...Grunty just had portals to each one (terrorisation perposes I imagine) in fact I think its even mentioned that Rusty Bucket bay is some kind of trading hub or somthing used to fund her evil ways

the worls into tooie feel less "closed off"

I remember reading somewhere that the original idea for Double Fine's Psychonauts actually revolved around an Ostrich with Mental imbalances and multiple personality disorder. Schafer axed the idea as he believes video games to be a form of wish fulfillment and figured no one really imagines being an insane ostrich.

PArt of me says that should be taken with a grain of salt and yet... With some of the stuff that happens in Psychonauts I don't want to say that the idea had no way of existing.

I think what helped Tooie feel so open was that:
1. The entrances to the worlds and general hub area was outside.
2. There were plenty of places where the worlds interconnected with eachother.

If Nuts and Bolts featured anything besides Banjo and Kazooie then it probably would have been better received really. I wonder if we ever will get a Banjo Threeie though. Collectathons as a whole have pretty much died off which does make me a little sad.
