So, I've been reading about Minecraft for a while now. I'd like to ask something to y'all: have you played Haven & Hearth?
I played that game for a while, and I'm curious about what do you think of that game when compared to Minecraft. There are obvious differences since you can't dig in H&H, and playing it solo is almost impossible given the amount of griefing present, the need for distributing tasks among your community and all the mines being already controlled by well-defended groups of players who usually don't speak English for shit and will obliterate your village at the hint of a very loosely interpreted offense. Still, I found that game really compelling, and that it gave the player a need for survival and tedious, although satisfying grinding.
However, I find Minecraft to be more or less the same. Dig, pick materials, build, defend, venture in even more ludicrous quests in order to do more things. A comparison between the two would be great. It also kinda surprises me that Shamus has never mentioned H&H seeing how much he's into the genre. Apologies if he has done it and I'm messing up badly.
