So I don't know if this is something that occurs a lot with people or if it is just an isolated incident, but is anyone else having an oddly frequent number of crashes from the new MineCraft update?
Every now and again the window freezes and then flashes an error message about how there is a possibility that there is not enough memory allocated to the game.
Any help would be appreciated.

I *have* been experiencing a lot of slowdown recently, but I assumed it was because I was running the SSP Technic addon, and maybe lots of redstone machinery really slows things down?

I don't KNOW, but that was my guess. Be nice to hear that it was just a bug in the game and not just my PC being unable to handle the bizarrely-intensive requirements of Minecraft.

Been playing a surprising amount of it because of the build height and jungle biomes. Haven't had any problems, not even much lag. Most of it's singleplayer, mind you.

Update your Java?

Mine was slow for a while but updated to 64bit Java 7 and since it played delightfully.

So I've gone and updated my Java, that didn't work, any other suggestions? I don't know what information you would need to help me with this, so yeah.

I'm running single player and have downloaded Minecraft if that helps.

I would update my Java, but for some reason I can't DL 64bit Java with Google Chrome.
Also, I am not having any problems with 1.2, because I have not yet upgraded to 1.2. I recommend staying at, or downgrading to, 1.1. It's the only way you can play the Escapecraft Server.
