Minecraft 1.5 delayed until next week.

Due to a feature creep, the 1.5 patch isnt going to come out this week.. *sadface*

But since it will add quite alot to the game, i personaly arent bothered that much.. Always prefered waiting a little longer and get a little more..

edit: Ooh, I hadn't heard about the powered rails or non-nether zombie pigmen. This update just gets more and more awesome!

Well, since he is apparently planning his wedding, i think we should cut him some slack..
And again, i would rather wait like 5 more days for getting more content than first announced for 1.5 plus having it tested properly to prevent bugs...

Was anybody really surprised that it would be delayed? I mean, really?

There are a lot of block games out there on the horizon. Some of them are looking to be really, really good, and quite a few of them are going to be free. At this point I honestly don't think Notch is trying any more; he's one or two updates away from closing the book on Minecraft to work on his other projects.

I would fully support this. Just add in some features to make it easier for modders to add in whatever they want and be done with it. Minecraft has essentially been a complete game for months now anyway.

Honestly, I'm probably going to stop fiddling with the client (as much) until we get a full release, for this very reason. People just get their mods working again and then notch patches.

I can't wait for the zombie pigmen and the achievements. The weather would be a nice touch for Multiplayer with my friends and Achievements to motivate me in singleplayer.

On-topic: This will only get cooler if Snow & Fire Creepers are introduced.
Instead of blowing holes in your creations, they bury them in snow!
The red ones still leave craters, only now they're full of fire!

Also, mud and swamp water. Mud can be found under swamp water.
