I think it is amazing...
The new additions are awesome, I spent 3 hours lost in an abandoned mine and didn't care, there was that much stuff down there.
The new lighting looks sweet. New health/food system is good.
Rivers and ravines look great too. Actually all the terrain looks better.
Except mine keeps crashing whenever my furnace starts and stops...

The furnace thing's a bug, everyone has it. But except for that I have absolutely no complaints.Miles000 said:
Maybe it's a bit weird having the villages so empty, but that's going to be in the second part of the update, so whatever.

I have traveled out a day in each direction, (I could, endless ocean on one side of my tower), and only a river, 2 mountains and a bottomless pit.
I did find a tunnel that was completely blocked with spider webs. After 5 minutes of cutting I found a poison spider spawner...
It's a good thing the poison wears off after 4-5 hearts or so.
Also: The endermen aren't scary at all though. They are water soluble, weak to the sun, and scared by me staring at them for more than a minute.
As in they chicken out and de-spawn if you just stare at them.
Edit: I was hoping for some super human, dark one type thing that could walk on lava without getting hurt.
Wish they would stop stealing blocks out of my wall too.
I don't own minecraft, yet, but I watched a few people in my dorm mess with it. It looks really cool, only thing I was disappointed in was the Endermen were not the sort of ghostly monstrosities that some people made them out to be:
I think its great, however there are a few bugs which annoy me, eg the furnace crashing the game sometimes, also the blue spiders are a challenge though, and the regenerating health is great because unlike regenerating health in other games this actually needs food for it to work, also it means that i dont get trapped in a dungeon with only a few hearts.
all of the additions are awesome. theres only a few complaints with it. firstly the furnace glitch (which has a fix here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/615356-patch-furnace-crash/) and i seem to have a huge memory leak. depending on what chunk i am in the memory run out crashes happen from every 2-3 minutes all the way up to about 45 mins. all just depends on what chunk im in.
Its amazing apart from a few problems not including bugs.
Endermen need to be much stronger, currently they're laughably weak.
Abandoned Mine Shafts are too maze like and common for my liking, the Strongholds are ridiculously rare as well.
Also maybe too early to say but I was hoping he would put in more rewards for dungeons now, like the new records which are already in the game files.

Its a bit slow since its a pre-release or that could be my computer. Its amazing though. All the new stuff is really cool.zigzigzigbah said:
