Since my laptop is a hunk of shyte with a screen, the 360 edition is a lot better for me since I experience near to no lag in multiplayer. There will definitely be updates/texture packs being put in it, but no mods because of obvious reasons. Sad face. But the best thing about is the fact that it now obliterates the rip-offs in the indie marketplace and facing them head-on since Minecraft is on the same platform as them.
And it'll be great if Notch kept his promise and put the Capture the Flag game type on 360 first. But to be honest I doubt that. =/

I love it. I now know why everyone on the PC went on about it. Very fun. I love that after maybe getting annoyed at other games I can just boot up Minecraft, whack it on peaceful and build to my heart's content. You can tell that my first project was obviously very mature though.
To be fair, there was a plan to set it on fire.
There is also some sort of home-town pride, since the guys that did the port are from where I live.

I'm playing it right now, it's a load of fun. I'm building a medieval city with a whole underground complex with castles, hotels and shit

Well I dug a massive underground city, so I had a fuckload of Cobblestone. I couldn't let it go to waste, so I started building walls around the area, and put towers and buildings within it and stuff.. it's pretty easy to get lost in too xDHazy992 said:Sean Hollyman said:A medieval city?! I love it! already own it on PC so I do notice the difference although the only thing I really miss is enchanting (I'm so glad there isn't a food bar yet, that was just plain annoying IMO)
Multiplayer is much easier to just jump into, speaking as someone who played with a friend in multiplayer it's much simpler to just pick up. I like how I can't cheat and switch it to peaceful if I'm about to die, adding a little more challenge to going out at night. I also like how I can't cheat, after a while I'd just be tempted to spawn a ton of TNT to mine or just give myself a bunch of diamond picks, feels more like my first time through minecraft.
It seems to be properly optimized from what I can tell, even though my laptop is fairly powerful it would still chug if I built a large area in my mine full of torches. Plus I'm an achievement junkie so I love being able to 400/400 minecraft, it also gives me an 'end goal' for the game even if it's quite easy to reach it.
The crafting system is much better, you don't need the wiki open in another tab.
That's not to say it's perfect, I've lost a couple hours of progress one of the times I picked up the game because I forgot to save (or my xbox froze can't remember). The lack of mods isn't a big deal either since I never cared for the minecraft mods anyway, although texture packs are insanely nice. Also the block placement seems really strange, I can't count the number of times I've seen floating blocks, giant holes in the earth, floating snow (no blocks under it) and biomes that seem to mix forests/deserts/snowy mountains all within a few feet of each other.

Play it co-op with the boyfriend. We abandoned our first world because he wanted to start a new one, and the new one is working out really well. We have 2 1/2 houses so far: a mining shack (our first place), a mountaintop castle that was abandoned because there was only one way to get to and from, and it was very dangerous, and a treehouse that I'm expanding to be this elaborate connecting city in the trees. The only problem I'm having with that is that I have to go far out to collect wood to turn into planks since I need trees nearby to expand to.
I plan on also making a giant sandcastle, but it'll be a while before that'll get done.
