You shouldn't underestimate Creative (classic) mode. It lacks the advanced blocks of Survival, but when it comes to build projects it's an undeniably better tool.

I'm pretty much convinced that if you go back a year and look at the old projects from then you'll notice that the quality of constructions is much higher. As an OP on a Creative server I have witnessed first hand that the majority of players, those which are "post-infinate map survival", as it were, just aren't very good at building, while the older players from when Creative was the main gametype are much better.

On average of course. I have a rare few that are up to scratch.

Sure honey, you can have a taste for free. Here, this one's on me. No, I insist. If you want, maybe, in the future you can pay for it, I got this one, go ahead.

I don't know about the rest of you, but 90 minutes seems very restrictive...that might seem appropriate for other games, but Minecraft isn't shallow and has a lot of depth and stuff to learn (or so I've heard)...so 90 minutes fora game like minecraft is probably like the 75 second trial time for the bowling app I have on my phone...

90 minutes should be more then enough, ppl either get bored with it in the first 15 minutes or they realize that the 90minutes flew past while they were totally immersed and enjoying the fuck out of it =)

Anyone else notice how the picture for this article on the front page was the Wolf from the Mo' Creatures mod?

Just pointing that out.

I'm pretty sure that 75% of you already have Minecraft running in the background right now, but perhaps someone will have the need for this demo someday.

I got the game in Alpha, but the game actually works worse now than it did then. Gotta' get an actual video card... : ( New computer rig hopefully by christmas this december... at least... maybe 300 bucks to help wtih a new rig... I can't wait- but then I'll be too busy to enjoy it because I"ll be working extensively with the Unreal Development Kit and Blender... : ( NO winning.

Sweet, I've been dying to see if my comp can run it. I put it at unlikely but I'm eager to try it.

I think the first time I try to build my Golden Palace so high that it pierces the heavens and it falls to pieces around me I would get frustrated and never play it again. So, not for me.

Eh, I'll still wait until the game is actually completed and released. I tried it for two hours at a friends place, but I didn't see what the hype is all about. Maybe/Hopefully it'll get better by the time it's out of Beta.

Oh crap, I got a different opinion than the majority! *flame shield*
