Minecraft mods for mac

Hooray alliteration!
Anyway, I was hoping you guys could be ever so kind, you mac users anyway.
So I have a mac, obviously, and it's dreadfully confusing and useless. But I have minecraft =D
But no idea how to get mods on it =/
A video I check out on youtube didn't work so anyone got any suggestions?
It's the latest version of mac if that's any help.

I'm not sure but I think most mods are designed for PC?
