Minecraft Pacific Ocean Biome

Hey there escapists, I've decided to go for a cruise in the Minecraft pacific. I've been sailing north for two days now and the largest island I've encountered was about 4x4 sand blocks. Anyone know how long this goes on for? o_o

I was in a similar area once; after a few days of finding nothing, I just started a new game. If you have the patience, it's possible you will find something, but I didn't.

...unless you already were on a sizable landmass. Did you start the game on a tiny island?

Ocean biomes can go on for up to 20,000 blocks, which is, IIRC, 4 days of sailing. Most people hate them because they have nothing in, but I actually quite like the size of the ocean biomes. It really adds to the scale of the world to have nothing but water as far as the eye can see in places.

Damn, and if you want to go through hell I would recommend setting your starting seed to "Istvan". I didn't start on an island with the seed "C" but DAT OCEAN. Also after four days of sailing I reached mainland, choked a pig and then ate it.
