Minecraft Server Help

I've looked all over the Internet to try and find out how to do one thing, with no results. So I've decided to ask here.

Basically, I'm trying to change my server's default map for an adventure map, but in a way that lets me keep the original map files elsewhere so I can switch back to it when I finish playing the adventure map.
It's a 1.1 CraftBukkit server

drag the map folders and place them somewhere else, you can always bring it back when you want and everything would be ok

i've done that, but i can't get the adventure map files to work properly. when i put them in, it just generates a new world.
