MInecraft players: can you build stuff out of the eggs you get from killing chickens? Is there actually any use to these eggs? I wanna make a castle out of eggs =D

I have to agree. I'd love to make a castle out of eggs, though, that would just be an entertaining thing to have. I probably wouldn't be able to do anything with it, but it would be a great novelty. You know, build, screenshot, post on Facebook, etc.


If anyone here actually knows how to do this in Minecraft alpha, could you post it here?

Someone should make a mod with which you can craft 9 eggs into an "Egg case" block(or half-block?), and then use that as a normal block.

OT: Imagine what would happen if your egg castles could just randomly hatch after you built them. One second you're in your egg castle, the next second your server crashes from chicken overload

I think sometimes when you throw them a chicken spawns, but it's only happened twice to me, it may just be a coincidence that they spawn when they drop, but it's quite a funny little bit of code.
