Hey, I've been having an issue with Firefox. The Autofill and Autocomplete functions re bringing up website suggestions for sites that I have deleted from my browsing history. I've looked through my cache and in the cookies to see if anything was missed by using the "Forget about this site" function, but they keep popping up.

It's getting frustrating and I was hoping someone else might have an answer for me.

That is the intended effect. You are clearing your history, nothing else. You still have your passwords, cookies, and all that stuff. If you want to delete something like that, just click on the box till the thing comes up, rollover it, and press the delete key.

Hmm...doesn't seem to be doing that for me. Perhaps there is an extra box on the "delete history" tool that you shod click? "Delete search history", perhaps?

I've done that, and like I said, I went through to see if any cookies were left behind in the cache. I settled on doing a complete history wipe while keeping my passwords and bookmarks, and that seems to have stopped it. I'm wondering what caused it in the first place.

SHIFT + DEL on the "options." It should get rid of these. Do quote me on this. I want to see how well I do on this "advice" thing. Plus I had the identical problem I think, if I wrapped my head around this correctly.
