I just bought Mirror's Edge yesterday, and have been playing it for awhile now. I came to the chapter where you have to find the wrestler guy (Ropeburn I think his name is), and ran into a very annoying problem. Whenever I was slowed down for anything, i.e. rolling after a jump, climbing a ladder/pipe, stopping for a bit, as soon as I started running again, it would be like I was in slow-mo. I would not be able to run and walking was faster, normally. (If I try to walk, it looks like I'm crawling along.)

I was simply wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, how they overcame it, and what I should do. I bought it for my PC, although I may have to return it and buy it for 360 if its going to keep doing this.

The things I have tried so far are simple: Restart game, restart computer, flick the power on/off, and finally re-install it. No matter what I do, everytime I get to this point in the game, it does the same thing. So, therefore it cannot be my computer being slow because the rest of the game is fine.
Suggestions?
P.S. If a video or other, more accurate, representation of the situation is needed, I can upload a video or whatever.

I've never heard of or had this problem with my 360.

In-game solution, did you try using the 'reaction time' ability? At the end of the coding for that it might kick you back up to the intended game speed.

sounds like a shoddy PC port, I hear that the PC version isn't on par with the console versions in terms of slickness, Eurogamer stated they weren't going to mark it down for that though since it will get patched.

Wankers, I used to love your site, fucking sell outs.

Nevermind. I just fixed the problem. I was using Xfire to launch the game everytime, and I figured out that is what the problem was. Xfire was picking the wrong .exe to execute, so I just fixed that. Sorry for this, didn't know I was going to be able to figure it out on my own.

Thanks for your suggestions. And yes, I did try to use 'reaction time', but to no avail. Thanks for responding. :)

This can be locked now, I guess.
