After reading numerous articles about Michael Atkinson, Jack thompson, Bobby kotick and so on and seeing the anger and bile directed towards these men by much of the community i began to wonder how my fellow escapians will react if/when these people inevitably die. My personal response will probaly be "I didnt agree with what the man stood for but I offer my sympathy to their friends and family".

I wouldn't care, no reason to care, just other people who I didn't know.

I would react the same way as with other (relatively) well known people. Not at all.

I'll admit my actual plan is to see what the general consensus is like so that i can decide wheter to open a tapdancing service on their graves.

I wouldn't miss them, but I offer sympathy to their families.

I don't like them, but I'm not an asshole. =\

Normally, when people I don't like die, my response is similar to yours.
Back when Steve Irwin died, I was glad I never had to see his face again, but I did feel sorry for the wife and children he left behind.

Not so with these three though. Since I consider anyone who would be willing to be involved with these three to be just as bad as they themselves. There is a point at which I just cannot be bothered to sympathise anymore, and that point lies at the moment that I become convinced that the person isn't just bad, but actually downright evil.

And those three are fucking evil incarnate.

Jack Thompson is a funny guy, so seeing him go would probably be a bit sad.

But as far as I'm concerned, Kotick and Atkinson can pass onto oblivion while everyone forgets they ever existed...

You'd have to be a complete ass to sincerely feel happy about someone's death, even if it's Jack Thompson. A lot of people would probably claim to be relieved that he's gone, but (hopefully) nobody would actually feel it.

Same as this, really. Like how I cared more about what was for dinner than Michael Jackson's death.

I'll proably not care that much. It's not right to mock the dead, even if you disliked them, but even then I proably will not care if the die. I was like that with Micheal Jacksons death.

I think its been established that Jack's being doing it for the lulz since the beginning and you could see why he opposed some of the games he did e.g muslim massacre

Am I the only person who doesn't hate Kotick all that much?

I suppose, condolences to the families, but I have no respect for Atkinson and Thompson, so meh really, sad as it is for anyone to die.

I don't think I will care one way or the other. The world doesn't seem to have a shortage of assholes. Someone will slide into that spotlight as soon as those guys leave. We probably won't even have time to notice they are missing before we have to put up with the next batch.

I don't sympathize with every person that dies, or I would be sad and sympathetic constantly. Since I don't know them, I won't sympathize.

I'll just be happy that they won't be doing things anymore.
