Everytime my dad and I go anywhere people keep thinking I'm his girlfriend. Apart from the fact that it's my Dad, which is creepy enough, he is 50 and I am 22. Most of the time people think I'm under the age of 18.shudders
This has happened not only in random places, but at his friend's wedding, my dad, his fiancee and I were all together and people he knew were still getting me confused with her.

Anyone else got other cases of mistaken identity, hopefully not as creepy as this. Gah!

Well, I find myself to be mistaken for a female when I am playing and there's a chat on.

And, you know, as usual, a dumb fucked-up teenager, like all of us are taken as by everyone.

Several people have thought that I'm my own father.

It's very.. disturbing.

I've been told i look like several celebs in my lifetime. I also have been stopped by several cops because parts of me resemble a criminal that they are searching for.

Oh, I've had tons of these. A friend of mine said that I looked really cute with my sister, not knowing she wasn't my girlfriend.... Ugh. Thank god she didn't hear but I did and I was very creeped out.

Someone also thought I was some skateboarder. Can't remember his name. It's fairly common with me

It's not me, but my Mom who gets mistaken a lot.

Her name is Martha, and she looks EXACTLY like Martha Stewart.

And I don't mean "I see the resemblance" I mean "HOLY FUCKING FUCK! THAT'S MARTHA STEWART!"

That, combined with the fantastic coincidence that her name is actually Martha, has led to a good deal of confusion.

I have nothing extreme as that. When I was still living at home, and the phone rang, I was usually mistaken for my mother because we apparently sound similar when talking on the phone.

"Hello. Whose this?"

"Oh my God girl! You will NOT believe what my son little Jacob got me for my birthday. He-"

"Eeerm....Hold on Mrs. Gregory, let me get my mom for you."

(Completely embarrassed) "Oh...yes. Thank you dear."

I'm sorry, but HOW? Are they like: "oh so you're [Hubilub]'s father?"

OT: No, not really, what you see is what you get when it comes to me. I'm not very... you can't see me in many ways... (at least no-one has so far)

EDIT: I just remembered, someone thought I was a vampire once... At least think so, they did sign of the cross to me. :(

Kinda.

When people who only know my mother visits or calls, they sometimes mistake me for my father.

I'm a teenager, and I'm frequently mistaken to be 4 years older than I actually am. It's a bit weird.

Yeah the same thing happens to me all the time, which is weird as I'm male and sound very different from my mum face to face.

My father and I (male) were at a bar once, and this extremely drunk woman turned to be when my father got up to use the washroom and said, in a whisper that wasn't a whisper, "Is that your boyfriend?" I said to her, "good lord, he's my father." Things got very awkward for her after that, stumbling about having friends that were "that way" while at the same time trying to sound very apologetic.

Well, apparently I sorta look like the guy who plays Ron Weasely in the harry Potter movies, though that's only when I actually allow my hair to grow longer then the 6mm I usually have.

Nowadays I don't see the resemblance but back in the days when my father was still a kid...... well let's just say I can't really tell what my mother brought to the table because I'm more or less a direct copy of him in his younger years.

I keep getting mistaken for English. Apparently people in Scotland can't tell the difference between an English and an Australian accent, which I find very strange to be honest.
Probably because Tasmania doesn't count as Australia (Jokes)

I've been mistaken for a kid some other kid wanted to bash up once so I got suckerpunched and was all like "WTF?!" and the guy just says "Oh shit, sorry wrong person" and just walked away

I wanted to give him a very physical lesson on how to be more graceful in his apology but I decided to just tell a teacher.
