Having something that works alright for over a year and then breaks unexplainedly, requiring you to spend a week searching for the obscure bug and realising the 'fix' is to open the command prompt and enter a line of code every-single-time you want to play a game? That's just the kind of nonsense that happens every now and then.
Personally though, I assume it's the attitude of dem elitists that puts people off. I don't even play on consoles anymore, though calling myself a 'pc gamer' would make me feel... Well, let's say I'll just stick to 'gamer' if I have to label myself.
