color would have been nice, but then I guess you get to paint it.

Now what they have to do is recreate individual pieces of a Gundam model, print them in the 3D printer, put the Gundam together and paint it. Why? Because it would be awesome.

At my high school we have a rapman 3d printer and just use any CADD program to design our stuff. My teacher actually made the millenium falcon and printed it off. This is cool but way more complicated.

They make different color plastic wire for the printers so i guess you could use that as well.

So this is what the guys at MIT are up to?

I mean shouldn't these guys be working on a warp drive or teleportation chambers that don't turn you into flies?

It's because the Enterprise project has actually been finished. The video they showed of it was old; its even got its interior finished.
