Hell for all we know if he leaves we might finally get something completely new and different from Nintendo at long last instead of just Mario and Zelda. lol
You mean like Xenoblade, Kid Icarus Uprising, Pikmin, Game And Wario, Fire Emblem, Luigi's Mansion, Star Fox, Advance Wars, Metroid, Smash Bros, whatever the hell Retro is currently working on, Nintendogs, Animal Crossing, F-Zero, HarmoKnight, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Pilotwings and Pokemon?
Quiet j-e-f-f-e-r-s! They don't count! Nintendo has only made Mario and Zelda games, nothing else! (/sarcasm) But yeah, I completely agree with j-e-f-f-e-r-s here. In addition, I still don't understand why everyone says that Mario and Zelda is overused on the Wii. 3 new Mario games in one generation? 1 new Zelda (2 if you include Twilight Princess)? This is bad and overdone, how?

OT: I hope Miyamoto enjoys retirement when he does. He certainly deserves it.

Is that a recent picture? Because if it is, man, does he not look his age.

Is he immortal?
He is in a special group, along with Betty White and Sean Connery. Still looking exactly like they did the previous 20 years.

OT: Eek. I am a huge fan of Miyamoto's and I am definitely going to be sad when he leaves the company.
Have you seen Sean Connery lately? The years are really starting to catch up to him. Still not as bad as Moore or Lazenby, but he's definitely not the silver fox he was 5 years ago.

He has the money for facial implants.
He never really struck me as the vain type. Might have done it due to being the face of the company, though.

Aw man... End of an era...

I do hope he at least finishes that FPS he wanted to make.

1) Find a new gimmick for a controller,
2) New console!
3) Release a wave of 80's classics with slight graphical upgrades to fit console generation,
4) Fill pool with money, swim,
5) Lather, rinse repeat.

Does this nearly automated process really need Miyamoto to guide it? I'm sure this machine runs well enough without him having to actually be there to oversee it.

Also, 60 isn't that old. I don't know why everyone's surprised by that image.
